Snapshot

As some of you may know, I am now on methotrexate to manage my arthritis symptoms. It is going pretty well and my knees have felt some relief from it. I've only become nauseated from it once so far, and my pediatric rheumatologist is bumping up my dose.
Methotrexate is one of the more popular drugs used for treating JRA. Though you can take it through a pill, I get mine through weekly injections. My mom gives them to me and as much as I hate to admit it, she does a really good job. So that is just a medical update. If anyone has questions, do not hesitate to comment or message me.
I just got back from vacation. We went down to an amusement park and during the rides they take your picture at what is considered the most thrilling moment. Now I think we have already discussed how little facial expressions I have, but these pictures just made me look so depressed. I was excited but my face was completely neutral while everyone else was screaming. Based on the pictures, I would not want to be friends with me.
Also, I have noticed while looking for a song to sing in chorus that I have mostly sad songs on my iTunes. I can't seem to decide whether this is a good or bad thing. But hey, no one's making me!
We are talking about closing the gap between the real world and the ideal world in social studies. I have mixed views on this. In some ways, the ideal world is the real world. We learn from our mistakes and everyone is created by their situation. Now through this, I am not saying that we should just ignore the injustices. We becoming better, more knowledgable people by finding solutions to these things. We are given the opportunity to a better place when we die. Personally, I can't imagine anything more perfect than that.
I am thoroughly convinced that life is about taking chances and accepting risks with pride and a good spirit. If you're not having fun here on earth, what are you doing? Just some things to think about!
Lastly, for all of you who were worried about my hand, I am fine now. I am sorry for not posting since mid-December!
